Mission Statement
The Research Centre was established in 2005 to promote investigation of the chemical and physical properties of materials used and encountered by designers, art practitioners, commercial printers and conservators.
In March 2007 the centre developed further to incorporate investigations into cosmetic science

Jasco UV/Visible spectrophotometer V530
V530 is a double beam scanning instrument with full spectral analysis software. It is equipped with a single monochromator and a silicon photodiode detector and has a range of 190 to 1100nm and a band pass of 2nm. V530 uses the Spectra manger software package for control and data analysis.
