HSB1 Heat Sealer
This equipment is used for sealing polymer films, or polymer coated substrates such as paper and aluminium foil. The sealing jaws are Telfon® coated to prevent sticking and the sealing area is 20 x 300mm. It is operated via a simple foot control, and the operational variables are temperature, pressure and dwell time.
Applications include:
- Comparison of heat seal temperature of different polymer films and coatings
- Evaluation of seal strength of different polymer films and coatings
- Construction of sachets using different films and products to evaluate product stability and product/pack compatibility, with the ultimate aim of determining the optimum gauge of polymer for a given end use
